Ok found out Bobcad does not play well with arcs = 0 so I am using arcs = 1

I cleaned up the artwork a bit and made 2 programs with the same geometry, one for the Camsoft and one for my Fadal CNC 88. The Fadal runs it fine. Does that help figure out the problem? I have to believe it is something simple I am missing.

I know, why don't I just used the Fadal? The material is really too big to fit the machine without taking the ends panels off, even though it looks like I will do that. And I just spent a week mounting a 24,000 RPM spindle on my Camsoft/Bridgeport so I could do this job.

Here is a section of offending code

    Thanks

If you are truly running the exact same code on two different machines and one runs it and the other does not, then logically you can't say it's bad code. It's just that your bridgeport/camsoft machine doesn't like it.

Again, I have seen these issues on and off over the years. Unfortunately they don't always resolve. I've actually seen motion hardware be ultimately identified as the root cause for interpolation errors of this sort.

Try XYR arcs as a last resort. I've also seen a linear shift in coordinate system resolve this type of problem. also try changing the arc radii by a few thousands. I've seen that work also.

The math isn't perfect but we can get it to run here too.

It appears that this is going to take deeper investigation. Please contact us with either your company name or serial number and the version number you're using. We will also need a current backup of your CBK file send to:

Turns out it was a problem with my CBK.

I still don't know exactly what it was but I started from scratch with a default CBK and copied over the .fil sections one by one.
    Thanks

Re: Camsoft & Bobcad - problem with arcs

im making a fixture for some parts im making and the program simulates fine but when i put it on the prototrak mill itll cut the first cut depth using side roughing then on the second cut depth it stops and says the math is bad and cant find arc centers. ive been working on this problem all day.

Are you using a Prototrack control?
