    Enco or Mitutoyo test indicator?

I was looking at getting a 0.0001" resolution test indicator and noticed they had one for about $100 less than a Mitutoyo and was wondering if I should get the enco one or get the Mitutoyo. I had a Harbor Freight 0.0005" tester I got for just learning how to use one and its adequate for most of my work, its just I need a really fine tester for some delicate work I plan on doing later this month.

Hello. Mitutoyo will be better, of course, but there are alternatives. I bought a Swiss made dial indicator with a 0.00005" resolution on eBay for $45. Search for "dial indicator" on eBay; there are a number of them right now. You can "Buy Now" the same one I bought for $75:
