can anybosy please help me!?


i am trying to program my first 3d surface in alphacam (alphav7) but i am having trouble whean i click machine>3d surface machining>machine surface and it tells me SURFACE MACHINING: select boundaries i try to select any line in a drawing but nothing happens or it says cannot pocket open geometries open geometries will be highlghted.

do i have to create a new bit with specific diameter?

i would really appreciate if anybody can help me with this.

If You have chosen Surfacemachining, that needs a Boundary - the this has to be closed f.ex. a rectangle / Circle or any other Closed shape

Make sure that you are using a Flat tool if the surface is convex or a ball end tool if concave. You can not use a user defined tool.
