I've recently needed to tilt back my z-axis stepper motor to allow greater lift on my machine ( the motor was previously obstructing at high lift) .

I bought a cheap universal joint off ebay, which has too much backlash to actually be useful.

I've seen a zero-backlash universal joint in the ondrives catalogue (http://ondrivesus.com/pdf/couplings/...universals.pdf). They have not listed prices, although I know for a 6mm standard universal joint they want around £60, which I can't afford.

Has anybody seen a cheaper alternative? I'm open to other types of coupling, as long as backlash can be minimised.
