1 inch - .025 = degrees How to solve these types of problems?

In CNC programming I need a formula to solve these problems to calculate ramp angle. I tried (rise/run)tan-1 and I think that is giving me an interior angle as when converting the problem to a triangle.

I looked at it. The site is saying for me to solve the way I have been doing it. rise/run tan-1(rise/run). My answers are way to small. I keep getting 1-2 degrees.

You better be getting the same answer every time. And it better be 1.43 degrees.

I never trust myself fully so I usually double check any angle or arc dimensions I'm not sure about with a 2d cad program.
