changing screen on heidehain tnc 370

    Hello
I am trying to change the screen on my bridgport vmc 560 with a heidenhain tnc 370 control we have bought a new sharp screen (lj640u34) but it does not work we can only see half the screen picture, after speaking to heidenhain they say that the frequency given out by the control does not match the one needed by the screen and they would have to change a component on the screen back and charge us a hefty amount to do so, does any one which component needs changing and how to do it.

    Thanks for trying

    Hello
thanks for trying we have managed to make a lead up to use a lcd tv as a screen using the vga input. we had to resolder vga pins to match those on hedeinhain 15 pin d plug, its not quite right but good enough to run machine and the 26" screen is quite impressive and who knows maybe we can get movies on it as well.

    Hello Littlepad

I just happen to have two TNC370 screens in stock (used ones)
Do you want one? We could find a reasonable price for it.
But I have a much better idea!
    Why don't we retrofit your VMC560 with a iTNC530!
I have done two machines like that and it is not so hard to do! Also the price is not too much when considering what you can get out of the machine with iTNC530 control!
    Best Regards to Tsubis too

I have managed to use a GBS8219 convertor connected to the X43 video connector straight from the NC controller. This then connects to a standard 800x600 VGA small monitor 12.1". Only thing is the colour of text is pink on white background, it's clear, but would prefer green on black or black/white etc.

The pin out of the TNC370 on our machine's connector is not 100% to their PDF diagram attached.

ps. Just realised you are in Finland so might be too much hassle to the UK etc.
