Need Help fanuc ot b 601 alarm

Need Help! Have 601 pmc ram parity error. Have replaced master and pmc boards with reconditoned boards. Still have error. Did reset, delete and error clears but returns when parameter 905 bit 4 is 1 and alarm goes away when bit is 0. Fancu says cabling is not in system. They still think it is hardware. Where??

its an option telling the control what model the PMC is.
if you make it 0 the alarm goes away because that tells the machine there is no PMC at all.
but you will likely get many other errors instead if you try to run the machine without the PMC enabled.....

    "Reconditioned" PMC pcb or EPROMS.

EPROMS may be checked by repetitive reading of the EPROM data with a commercial EPROM writer and confriming the checksum is the same with every read cycle.

If you have another machine with the same control, swap the PMC pcb to confirm the "reconditioned" quality.

Try 905 bit 3, 2, and 1. ONE at a time and see if it boots. 12000 is the max size for PMC. You might not have that option for that big of a PMC. Try those bits to see when the alarm goes away.
