    Hermes Vanguard 7000, weird spindle attachment

    Hi,

    Recently acquired a Vanguard 7000 and im going through the process of getting it to work with Mach 3. It appears that the engraving tool is actually the head of a ball point pen. Is this typical? What would this be used for?
