    Drip Feeding to 10M

    Hi Folks
Today I've had some success experimenting with drip feeding an 80's DahLih MCV1000 / Fanuc 10M from a laptop running Ilogic's DNC Server. I managed to get the X axis moving back & forth according to a bit of code I'd written.

My question: Does a program written for drip feeding need the special control characters and program numbering eg
    %
    :1234
    .
    .
    .
    M30
    %
as for a normal serially transferred file?

    Regards
    Rob

Exactly the same format as a file destined for transfer to the control's memory.
