    Hoss Conversion or CNC Fusion

I am looking to convert a X2 mill and looking for advise on whether i should bite the bullet and get the CNCFusion kit #2 or do a hoss cnc conversion.

I would like my machine to be hassle free and be quite accurate. I am planning on cutting some bigish blocks that are long programs and i dont want to get 75% done, skip a step and have to start all over...

    Thanks
    Mike

Depends on your manual machining experience? If you are confident to make the parts then the Hoss conversion has a lot going for it - I didn't so I went for the Fusion kit and i'm well pleased with it ( even if import taxes & duties bumped up the overall cost!)
But those are just the mechanics and will unlikely result in missing steps - that's electronics and the drives / motors area - one can't be blamed on the other generally!

I originally planed to make my own mounts and turn the ball screws.

I ended up ordering the CNCFushion kit to save time as I was way to busy with work.

Depends, do you have the time and skill and want to save money, then DIY or do you have the money and want to save time, then cncfusion.
Also consider which z axis is preferred.

Exactly! Although I didn't really have the money, but I wanted to save the time, I went with CNCFusion. But I had also bought the DVD from Hoss to make his conversion too.

It comes down to time vs money....
