Where I work there are two EasyCut/Many machines and I have spent a few weeks learning how to use CAM and how to operate these machines. I would like to see a forum dedicated to these machines - they need one!

I'm still very much a novice at CNC, but it seems that the machines cause problems as often as I do. Some of the problems are:

The first time it goes off to measure the tool it will sometimes 'hang' (cease to move) shortly after measuring the tool. It then needs to be switched off and restarted. It appears to be a software bug. This can waste a lot of time because it can take ages traversing between the workpiece and the home position. It also seems to be fussy about how many tools are loaded.

That said, when it gets going it seems to work fine and gets some nice results.
