HLVH Longitudinal Feed Engagement not working

    Hi,

Recently purchased an HLVH, and had it delivered today. When we inspected the machine the longitudinal feed was working, upon delivery its not engaging the feed.

It feels like the handle is being mechanically interlocked somehow. I know that it is interlocked via the threading lever, but the lever is in its center position.

    Any ideas?

The carriage and/or the cross-slide are driven by the power feed motor (mounted on the front of the carriage) and are engaged via two clutch levers on the apron (up is engaged - down is free).

Engaging both power feed levers will move the tool at exactly 30°, for cutting centres etc.). Speed and direction of the power feed is controlled by the box at the end of the bed

The carriage feed clutch lever is mechanically interlocked with the half-nut lever (so both cannot be engaged at the same time). The sliding interlock bar can sometimes get stuck, preventing the levers moving (it is spring loaded) - giggling the levers will usually free the interlock.

The power-feeds do not require the use of the feed/thread knob (leave in feed position unless threading) , threading lever or half-nut lever (up free - right engaged).
