    Equipment Validation

For the last year or two I've been programming and running a Partner III and an RW-12, both with the Centurion 6 control. I'm now looking at machines for my home shop and I am wondering what the main difference is between the Centurion 5 and Centurion 6 controls. Is the extra cost of a machine with the Cent. 6 or Cent. 7 control worth while for someone who programs almost exclusively by hand and with CAM software?

The Cent5 control uses Acroloop motion control, the Cent6 and Cent 7 controls both use NC Blaster motion control. The Cent5 and Cent6 controls both have the computer and the interface in the cabinet, the Cent7 has the computer attached to the backside of the front panel connected by a fiber optic cable to the interface back in the cabinet.

The operation and programming of the three versions of the control are the same, any differences you see are due to older/newer software versions.
