    deciding how to power circuits

I plan to use a LM339 (quad comparator) to sense the motor current through a UDN2998W (dual bridge). My power supply is 36v. If I use the same power supply to power both ic's and the windings, will I run into any feedback problems?
Also, if that is feasible, what's the best way to get the right voltages for the chips? I have a 3.6v zener diode that might serve for ref voltage for the comparator.

It won't be a problem as long as your PCB is designed properly. However, dropping 36v down to 3.3 is very inefficient. I used separate power power supplies.
