Dear friend,

I am not expert on that machine, not even a user, but according to my knowledge in Electronics and Computer Sciences,
1. the CMOS store the BIOS settings of the system. If the CMOS doesn't work, the system cannot work.
2.EPROM is erasable programmable read-only memory: the EPROM stores data even when its power supply is off.

My conclusion: The machine's hardware problem can be ignored. But the system command has a problem. I needs to be checked.
