    Leveling feet?

Just curious what everyone is using for leveling feet since most concrete floors are horribly unlevel...?

    I like Barrymount

You can cheat and make your own out of sandwiched steel plates and hard rubber sheet... with a leveling nut/bolt. Works just fine.

I make my own with hockey pucks and carriage bolts. They work very well.

Awesome, another use for hockey pucks ! I have one in my steering shaft on my Porsche, since replacements are too soft.

Harmonic dampers, and now leveling feet.. I'm starting to envy those who live far enough north for hockey pucks to be a common item.

Nice! So do you drill the bottom of the puck for the head of the bolt to recess a little or just tighten it up and let it go?

    Adam,
I hear you. My shop is on a hill so everyting is on a 10 degree incline. I use these: Best Casters Period. I used them on my workbenches initially, then put them on every machine in my shop. Result: everything is mobile and can be level in a moments notice. I've changed shop configs 3 times in the last 2 years. Everything I have will ride on these from now on.

    That is awesome Gerry!

I was looking at some of the big ones sold by McMasterCarr at a whopping 40 bucks apiece.

Your Idea seems much much cheaper.

    Yep, $2 each.
Drill a counterbore about 3/16"-1/4" deep, as the bolt head will pull into the rubber a little bit.

It's not my idea. The original owner of Industrial Hobbies used to have a bunch of tips on his website, and this was one of them.

Precisely, there is an orange wheel on the inside that extends a rubber foot from inside the caster. Turn the wheel the other direction and the rubber foot retracts. Best of both worlds.

I used these on my plasma table, they are only $5.77 each for the 2" square and they support 660lbs each. They also sell them for round tubing.
