I have Bobcad V24 with bobart, but no edm license.

Does anyone have any experience using EDM wire for a foam cutter?

Currently I;m using a program called foamworks, but it’s a little clunky adjusting the profile for the distance between the towers. My work flow is DEVCAD to cut the dxf files into equal segments, then Foamworks to generate G-code, the predator editor to use the math functions to move scale the axis and center the axis.

I can skip devcad and just use bobcad to equalize the spline now that I read a tip from Burr in another thread.

I plan on visiting the Bobcad booth at the PRI show in Orlando in a couple of weeks, so I hope they have someone that can run wire.

I use wire-EDM but only for wire (mostly 2 axis).

There is no Wire-EDM addon for V24 or newer. Only for V23.

Hope you will find someone in Orlando who can run wire. If you will please ask if they plan to support Wire-EDM in newer versions too?
