Congratulations and good luck! It took me one day and a half to put all the machine together!

Be prepared with some wood bricks to elevate the stand, so you can have clearance to move the engine hoist!(at least is what I had to do!)

You're gonna love your machine. I know I certainly do. It has done everything so far that I could do on my FADAL or my Haas, it just takes a little longer.

My other machines had 20 horsepower, and if required, I could bury a 3/4 inch end mill 1 1/2 inches deep, but I can stall this machine if I take a big cut with a 5/16 end mill.

It doesn't bother me though, especially since I don't take outside work any more.

I use my machine to make parts for gasoline powered (gas, not nitro) remote control boats and cars. I have been racing boats since the early 70's and I just got into gas in 2002. I got my first RC car about 6 weeks ago.

I used to make boat parts on my other machines as well. Parts I made on those machines that took 8 minutes, now take closer to 30. BUT, this machine didn't cost $75,000 either.

Well did ya get it today? Did ya? Did ya? Did ya?

I didn't have time to get excited and lose sleep over my machine. I ordered it on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 and it got here Thursday, July 14, 2011.

Yip , got it about 10:30 , didn't get any parts started. Had to leave to bid a job, I thought it would take about an hour , took 4.

Anyway, got it all put together, and running

Sweet! What accessories did you get with it? Did you spring for the PDB or will that come later? You can never have too many TTS holders...

First part , actually the second. Too busy watching/marveling it it working

Tormach 1100 First cut - YouTube

Now just need to make a fixture to hold multiple parts , 8 will fit on the table (4x4) they are just over a inch to long to lay side by side down the length of the table

Any suggestions? We make about 300 of these a month.

Is that Blaser swisslube? Love the smell of that stuff. Going to switch to that once my current coolant supply runs out...

Fore End grip for a semi-auto shotgun from Turkey which is loosely based on the AR15 architecture. I recognize some of those other videos from the Brian Enos forum.

    Have fun with the machine.
