    chuck, door switch not working

hi i have a colchester tornado 300 lathe the Fanuc controller, the chuck runs ok, but the jaws wont open or close, the door catch will not work, and the turret spins past its position, someone has suggested checking the fuses on the 24v but i cant seem to find them, can you point me in the right direction of how to get all up and going again.

    Kind Regards

Depends on the type of I/O you have, if you have the remote boards, they have a small green fuse for the 24v.

The I/O is where the various limits switches and solenoids etc plug into, usually via the Blue 40pin Honda Plugs.
Fanuc have a few variations on the type of I/O from a Rack mounted cards to an oblong shaped circuit board, often fed with a fibre optic cable.

    colchester 300

The problem is you missing 24 V DC
There are two versions depending how old it is The first one had an E-stop board behind the main disconnect switch on the electrical cabinet usually the relay contact burns on that board.
The later version has an A-3 board about 10" X 12" and there are 4 fuses on the bottom left side usually one blows because one of the rectifiers in the same area has blown.
