I'm looking into buying my first 3d printer but I'm having a hard time justifying why the Stratsys machines are 10 times the cost of something like the Makerbot Replicator 2.

What are you paying for? And are these things really that important?

Just at a glimpse, the Mojo seems a "real" machine, double filament types, and perhaps, years of know how and development behind the Stratsys company, which in this case, is priceless.

The Makerbot, although this new version looks really really cool, is a hobby 3D printer. It does not mean you'll get better or worst results, but maybe, getting all the juice from the Makerbot is a little more complicated than from the Mojo.
