Topping up spindle oil reservoir in VM1

    Hi all,

Spindle oil is running low so I want to top it up (Castrol Hyspin AWS 32). There is an Allen head grub screw on the top of the reservoir and a draw bolt running though it with a 10mm nut on it. I didn't want to open the nut in case the draw bolt is only holding the buffer at the bottom of the reservior. Can I just pop off the top or is the grub screw restaining the unit. I don't want to go at the grub screw incase that is related to the dispensing rate and I don't want to try to pop the cap off in case I force something.
I said I'd be safer than sorry and ask you guys first.

    Rgds,

    S.

It's the air/oil booster for unclamping the tool. It doesn't lube the spindle at all. Just top it up through the 1/8 BSP top up hole. Use hydraulic oil like Tellus 32.
