    Auto reversing tapping head

Ok so I just picked up a really nice tappmatic and want to use it on my Tormach.

How in the world do I set sprutcam up to feed at one speed and then x1.75 the feed out of the hole?

Any one use a self reversing tapping head in sprut?

    Thanks for any help!

from looking it over, seems like I need to use "Drilling with chip removing cycle " I have seen with a TC tapping head that some guys dwell for .3 sec? is it the same for a tappmatic?

I think that you would just use the standard SprutCAM tapping cycle. IIRC, the tapping head has an internal gear system which spins the tap faster on retraction then it does while feeding. Your feed rate (both in and on retract) should be (spindle speed)/(thread pitch). I haven't actually used a Tapmatic head, but that's the way my Procunier head works.
