    Motor upgrade-- How many HP?

    I'm looking to upgrade my Patriot. Should I go with 2 or 3HP. I can get the 2HP from JT for quite a reasonable price, but 3HP seems quite appealing. Is the machine up to that kind of power?

    Any suggestions, thoughts, etc are welcome!

    I would think that 3 HP is doable, if you plan to use the power at the low end of the rpm- I would be careful about using it to spin the spindles beyond 3-3500 rpm.
