    Help W/Makino Pro 3

We have a shop full of Makino Pro 3 contolers on A-55 Delta's. These are about 7 years old now and everytime I need to make any improvemnets I have to go to Makino to program the Logic. I am told that there is no Ladder in these controllers but I find that harc to belive. Now I have tried for a long time to open it and even look at it but I can not. Is there anyone out there that knows how to get to the ladder on a Pro 3 as far as I know they are a Fanuc 16 c Conrol that Makino modifies them selves. I could save a ton of cash if I can access these like the rest of my Fanuc's in the shop. I have quite a bit of time on them all the way back to the late 70's and I have never seen one that could not be accessed.
    Any help would be apreciated

I'm not sure how to get the ladder either. We have a couple A88's with the pro 3 controller and cannot access the ladder on the machine either. Fanuc has a program called FANUC Ladder III. You can connect to it with laptop via rs232 or edit the ladder and save it to an SRAM card and upload it that way. I'm not sure if this program will work on a pro 3 control but it will work on the 16.

just another option to look into...

K17.0 Will Lock Out The Ladder (k900.0 On Rb Or
Rc Ladder Versions). Try Setting This Bit And
See If Your Ladder Will Display From Pmc.

I can not get to the keep relays either all I have is option parameters on the custom side that pretty much do the same function as a keeper

I asked to borrow a laptop with fanuc ladder from one of out sister plants... I could not get it to connect via rs232 with the cable I normally use to u/l, d/l programs, parameters. I will try again on monday with a regular cable, SRAM card when I have more time..

Our controllers do not have the keepers available at the control either.. just signal status...

Does this control have a pc front end, like a fanuc
20/20 box, or is it the older fanuc crt? If it is a
pc, they may have it password protected. If it is
the older one, you should be able to get to the pmc
parameters by hitting system, pmc, parameters,
keep relays. Is it 18m, 18i, or what?

Also the cable you need to use to communicate with
fanucs via rs232 comm port is a null modem cable.
You can get one for about 20 bucks at radio shack.

Yup I got all the RS232 garb I been programin these things for about 8 years. But the 16model C Fanuc is not a normal Fanuc Makino stuffs there winkie in it and completly revamps the whole thing. There are no visble Keepers and there is no PMC like a normal Fanuc. There is no posible way to view the lader at the contyrol without opeining the keepers BUT there aint no keepers they are also hidden.
Now Makino tells me that there is no ladder that the CPU runs off a language that is all Makino. But base on other things they have told be in the past I am no believing that. So I was just wondering if anyone knew hopw to reach the ladder on a PRO3 Control.
Also when I download the PMC to a flsh card it can not be viewd by any thing I have here not even Fanuc Ladder, I always have to send it to Makino so they can take tyhere winkie out and change what I need and then stick it back in and send it to me. Well this is exspensive and I do not want to have to go back to OEM everytime I want to and some stuff to the system

    Thanks Bluesman
