    Saving tool paths

I am trying my first file transfer from VectricPro using "G" code to a Mako Shark..

Problem, it is routing in about a 0.5 inch sq area. As I watch the lines of code scroll on the screen the X,Y may be X 2.000 x 4.000 but everything is within a very small area on the actual part. I have tried different projects and different tool paths with the same results.

    Any ideas???

    Thanks

    Hi..

You're not outputting metric to an imperial machine are you? 2mm of travel is not a lot if you're expecting 2"

    Just a thought.

The machine is a "US" labeled machine. I am using inches in VCarve and choosing an "inch" post processor.

I did notice there are some post processors that I dont have and with a USB connection from the computer to the CNC box is this my problen?

    "CnCShark-USB_inch.pp" one of the files...

I downloded these files but I can not figure out which directory to put them in.

    Thank for your previous reply.

You'll probably get better help at either the Vectric forum or the Shark forum. I don't think there are many Shark users here.

You could verify the metric vs inch issue by creating a job that cuts a 25.4 unit square outline and see if the machine appears to move 1 inch....

    Just a thought.
