    Coolant Pump Causing Problems

    I am having problems with the coolant pump on our Mori MV50.

    If I pull the pump out of the reservoir it spins, quietly for as long as I leave it on.

    If I put it back into the reservoir it will spin for a few seconds before the relay starts smoking. I have cleared the lines up until the cylinder branches off to a lot of different lines. I have blown air from that point and it comes our the coolant lines.

    Any suggestions?

    Contactor starts smoking but the overload doesn't trip? Something fishy going on.
