im having a problem with my machine. At any random time running or seting up the machine i get an alarm that states "Axis or Machine unalligned" now i normally get this when i power on machine but now im getting the alarm during production or setups, sometimes every half hour. wondering if anybody has had this and may know a solution to fix the problem. When the alarm is posted does the machine hault all actions or is it just showing on the screen.

Everything stops but the spindle. The spindle will continue to spin till I hit data reset.

By any chance when this random alarm occurs would you be anywhere nere the limit switches,the reason I ask this question im wondering if a switch is sticking and when you pass over when aligning the machine that it may not be completeing its process.Or possibly somewhere in that curcuit.

You didn't mention which control you have, or what the alarm number is. On the older Cincinnati controls, looking up the alarm number in the manual usually gives far better troubleshooting information than the simple description which comes up on the control.

More than likely, if you look up the alarm number in the manual, it will tell you which signal is dropping out, and let you know where to start troubleshooting the issue.
