WHATS IS MEANT BY 1 DEGREE INDEXING ON A HORIZONTAL CNC MACHINING CENTRE?
Could refer to a rotary axis or the spindle?

Most probably the rotary table with 360 index positions
it means you have to move B first then machine works for most people
one thats not an indexer you can stay in the cut while rotating B axis
like a mill turn center.
we made a post that tades X for B and turns inches into degrees
Indexing almost always means the rotation stops at a specified point and does so at rapid and then cutting is performed. Rotary axis has full movement at any angle and programmed feed rate and can do so during cutting.
Usually means 1 deg positioning on the B (table rotary), not continuous programmable contouring. Unclamp/rotate to position/clamp/cut part, repeat.
iM LOOKING FOR A NEW CNC HORIZONTAL MACHINING CENTRE. BUT NOT SURE WHAT THE 1 DEG INDEXING MEANS ON THE SPEC SHEETS. IT REFERS TO THE B AXIS PALLETT. BUT DOES THIS MEAN THAT IT WILL ONLY MOVE 1 DEGREE. IE IF I WANT TO DRILL A ANGLED HOLE AT 17.5 DEG WOULD THIS BE POSSIBLE.
No, you can´t drill at 17,5 deg. angle. 17 and 18 OK but not 17,5 deg
