I have a problem with a Sinumerik CNC.

When it boots, it shows the error message:

'5 ORD 3 Power failure protection/data loss'

at the top of the screen, and:

'110102 No read/write access for <SPF1>' in mid-screen.

Any thoughts?

Which Sinumerik and what machine would be helpful... but it sounds like there was a power glitch of some sort (whether the service line power or the backup battery while the machine was off) and the access settings for one of the sub programs got changed that it is trying to load.

Try loading a different part file and see if it comes up fine.

to know what machine and what sinumerik would be helpful. I probably could help with mill and lathe using SN 820.

Try the Diagnosis Button right hand side under you screen. Press and scroll through using the up and down buttons right to the screen to verify the problem(s).

The "5 ord" is just the number of alarms(can be always the same or a bunch of different problems). Look up the 5 or more digit failure number. If you don´t have the handbook or can´t find it online, post it here and i´ll check it for you.

Can you run the machine or does it refuse to do anything after the alarm?

Sorry for late reply, machine will do nothing, just sits with alarm message showing.

Tell us what the control is and what machine it`s on.
Have is been running ok and have you made any changes to anything?
