    ThermWood CS 45

    Hi,

First off, I am new to CNC coming from a programming and wood working background.

I am using Vectric Aspire coupled with a ThermWood CS 45 5'X10'. The controller is a 91000 SuperController.

I've managed to put together a basic post processor and it works fine for X and Y. My problem is the Z axis. It seems that each tool has a different z offset, ie. running the same job with each tool results in a different cut depth. It seems to have something to do wit the daylight of each tool.

I've attached my post processor and output code.

    Please help!

OK, so right after I posted this I realized what the problem was.

In my tool changes, I was referring to the tools by their holder number when I should have be using the local tool number. So where I was calling tool# 2, I should have been calling tool 311.

When I called 311, the controller then was able to pull up the tools daylight and include it in its calculations for offset.

    Phew!

Welcome to the 'Zone AutoCad Ninja!

Glad you were able to work out how to edit post-processors, and fix your issue!
