We recently got a PUMA 2600Y and this is the first time we are trying to use it for milling on the face. its a simple part with 2 lugs on the face that we are trying to interpolate with an endmill. my first issue and the lathe department doesnt seem to grasp this is that the X is positioning to diameter not radius. second issue is i get an over tolerance alarm when i use g02 g03 straight from a posted out milling pattern. i got it to work typing a simple straight y move, g02 with a r.01 (it didnt like using I and J), then X, then Y again. The part is simple and i can get it to work by fudging it but i know that pieces are going to start getting more complex. any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated. I have no info at all in the programming manual (i feel as though we are missing books because live tooling is not covered at all)
