Question 4th and 5th axis problem

    Hi all .
    how are you.
we have newly bought a used 5axis Stama Mc 320 with Fanuc OM controlling system.
all the axes work well when using JOG mode and HOME mode .
But when runing a progrm in MDI or Auto mode, the A and C axes doesn't work and the alarm 009 is appeared .
Does anyone know what should we do .
i was wondering if you could help .

I am not familiar with that machine, but the OM control did not support 5 axis simultaneous machining. So, I would presume that one of the axes was indexing only. Or, maybe they both are indexing only. IN that case, there may be a brake for each axis that has to be turned off before positioning. Sometimes, I would do that in a G code macro call to take care of those functions automatically. You may want to check the 8000 and 9000 programs to see if there are any macros for indexing.
