Problem
When pressing control on button Hydraulics start and run for several seconds then switches off again.
This time a watchdog alarm has occurred.
The signal from MS2 ( Hydraulic contactor which informs the fanuc system that the hydraulic contactor has energised) is a 24volt signal and goes directly to M18 pin 25 on the PC1 option PCB is at 24 volts when the contactor energises but the diagnostic (02 bit 4 ) does not come on. This suggests that the PC1 PCB is not seeing the hydraulics on signal and the diagnostic bit is not changing but another check has been done, i.e. manually energising the contactor and trying to monitor diagnostic 2 bit 4 but this causes a watchdog alarm again and the diagnostic does not change state.
This suggests that the PC1 board is seeing the signal but that in that case of manually forcing the signal should be off and not on, is this why the watchdog alarm occurs in this condition.
Can anyone help or suggest a way of testing or repairing it
