    BF20 Y-axis ball screw conversion-planning

I'm considering putting ball screws in my BF20, and thought I'd throw together some 3D models to see how things would go together and how much clearance I would have.
The plan was to get some of Chai's (linearmotionbearings2008 from ebay) C7 screws and ball nuts.

On the Y axis I am seeing quite a bit of interference between the ball nut (shown in orange) and the web that spans the inside of the base of my BF20. The interference is about 3/8".
    Is this normal?

I was hoping I wouldn't have to machine much for this conversion, but it looks like I may have to after all. There's still meat left on the web is I take off 1/2" off the top for the nut to clear.

P.S. The 3D models I have are pretty accurate, as I measured my own machine a while back.
