    encoder repair

    can anyone tell me how much an encoder would cost to repair or replace ?

    depends on what you need to replace

    from a few dollars to a few thousand dollars ,

    what is the make ? what is the Encoder number and what is the problem?

    its a toshiba jrv 40 it has a tosnuc control . i`m trying to get get in touch with the fellow to get more info .

    Also it could have commutation track if AC or BLDC motor, the pole count of the motor would have to be known for a replacement?
    In some cases the encoder has to be realigned with the poles if commutation is used.
