There are a lot using the Smooth Stepper with the Dmm system, Tiago has just set his up, I have a smooth Stepper, but have not done much testing with there system, Most of my testing/running has been with the U100, which is great, but does not reach the max output for the Dmm system, the Smooth Stepper will give you the max output

It is best to have everything working with the PP then add the Smooth Stepper, this is very easy to integrate, with the Dmm Breakout Board & the Smooth Stepper

Yes, it is dead simple to wire the smoothstepper Ethernet. Like Mactec said, get everything working without it first, then plug it in. You'll need 5v to power the SS, and that's about it! The setup is very easy. The only non-intuitive thing I found was configuring the spindle PWM through the smoothstepper, but let us know if you have problems with that when you get to it. Take a look at my thread a few posts down and there's a link in there to the instructions that helped me with the spindle
