ok, lost here, posting with MasterCam X5, doing simple -Z-contour ramping routines. The post out file is segments of a circle making the post file very long and poor surface finish on the part? How do we change it to post I or J moves with a -Z- move on every full circle move?

Change your control definition file.

your filter settings should allow you to do that. use the 'refine toolpath' to control the length of your prog and the surface finish

I changed the settings on the control manager and tried to refine my NC path nothing has changed? could it be something else?

First, have you verified that you have full arcs/circles in your geometry? Or, do you have arc/circle segments?

Second, in the Control Definition file for your machine, do you have Arc Breaks > Allow 360 degrees arc > Don't break arcs selected? Do you have Helix support > Only in XY plane or All planes supported selected? After you made changes, did you reload the machine in the Operations Manager > Machine Group > Properties > Files?

Third, are you doing Contour > Ramp or are you doing Circle Mill > Helix or Contour with Lead in lead out Ramping?

yes full circle arcs, everything is checked and reloaded as your picture shows. I am doing a contour ramp routine. posting segments?
