    haas mini mill question

i have narrowed down my selection of mills and realize the haas mini is pretty hard to beet . now my next question is how many hours is too many ? some i`ve looked at have around 20000 . i know for a kuraki b-mill that is nothing , but how about these mini`s . the seller claims it was all aluminum running .

Just like a car. It is not only a matter of how many hours. You also have to factor in the age of the machine and preventative maintenance and repairs that have been done.

i`ll call on the maintenance . my main concern is the ball screws and ways are at the point of needing replacement .i`m confident the haas is a good machine , i just don`t know the shelf life .

I think you are pretty safe on the ball screws. It is a mini mill and they are not generally used to hog a bunch of stainless. I think you are very safe. I have never seen one worn out.
