    Y axis issues.

    CNC 3040Z

A new member of the chinese machine club.
My Y axis is getting off, it moves toward the spindle side as it cuts.
ie: when cutting a pocket it leaves steps on the back side and removes
more and more material from the front. The x and z axis is dead perfect.
I have used a indicator to check y movement and it's dead on.

Also when I first got the machine, I noticed the steppers where fairly hard
to turn with the controller on and now they are easily moved (all steppers).
    Is this normal?

If I wanted to replace the drivers, how do I order the correct ones.

    Thank You,
    Bo Hunter

Hi, have a browse on Utube.....there are a number of vids on these cheap Routers and all state that they have issues with the X axis (cross beam) moving or slewing when milling to one side of centre......the build is alluminium and not all that strong.
