I am trying to head off what I see as a potential problem with high-voltage on the wild leg of my homemade three phase rotary converter. With my Bridgeport boss six mill turned on pi see a high-voltage of nearly 270 V on the wild leg on a 220 V set up. When I turned on an adjacent manual Bridgeport Manual mill and South Bend Lathe and just let the spindles run the voltage drops nearly in line with 220 V.
I want to protect the machine from high-voltage and the occasional voltage spike which I do get in this area and recently blew a fuse on the z-axis. Is there a low-cost voltage regulation unit available out there that could fix my problem. Any tips or links would help. Thank you. Bill
