If the BOB has outputs, e.g. relay contact then if the contacts are rated ok then you can switch the 24v+ direct, you need to wire a reverse biased (BEMF) diode across the coil.

the CM101 has a relay that is rated 24V
so does that mean it can connect directly to the board?
does the diode need to be facing certain way? and is there a specific diode to use.
Thank you so much for your time
I will pay it forward once I get the hang of this
Sincerely
Anna
Diode can be any of the 1n400x series, 1n4007 has a wide range.
The stripe has to face the +v side of the coil supply.
take the -ve direct to the solenoid, 24v+ to one side of the relay contact, the other contact to the solenoid.
It is preferable to wire the diode as close to the solenoid as possible.

Thank you very much!! I have been looking for wiring diagrams and such without any luck. I will give this a go and post a wiring diagram if I get lucky.
Best regards
Anna
