The part is made out of 1" round stock which I envision as follows:
- end milling groups spaced at about 3" of 3x 1/4" wide radial slots spaced at 1/4" on each side of about 3' long stock,
- drilling a small blind hole at every about 3" with #43 bit and tapping it to 4-40 thread,
- cutting the rods down to about 3" pieces, about 15 pieces per stock
- facing the pieces (this and further tasks on a lathe)
- drilling axial holes with 3 different incremental diameter drills,
- tapping thread in one of those diameters with a provided tap
- and reaming the largest hole.
Tolerances on many dimensions are very lax (0.01-0.02" is perfect), the critical ones will be threaded hole depth and rimmed hole depth (0.05") and diameter (+0.001"). In fact the round stock can be anything from about 13/16 to 1".
Vendor to sign an NDA prior to receiving blueprints.
Initial order about 60 pcs depending on finalized setup (we will want to set up as many stock as long as will fit on a mill - anticipating that about 4 stocks of about 3" long will fit, it may depend on your particular choice of milling machine).
