Maybe u can help me out with a question I have, and possibly make a video from it. I'd like to make an intake manifold spacer for my car maybe out of acrylic or thin aluminum. My question is, is it possible to scan the gasket, trace it to a vector using software and cut it out to the correct size?

Scanning is really iffy for stuff like that, you'll find that you will spend heaps of time measuring and altering. I'd recommend simply create it from scratch using geomteric shapes. It'll be spot on and most likely far quicker than scanning and then trying to fix the dimensions afterwards.
