    A/C Motor Turning Wrong Direction

    I am currently in the process of retrofitting a CNC bench top lathe. When I received it the motor spun the correct direction. I stripped all of the old electronics out a few weeks ago. Today I hooked the motor up to test it and it turns the wrong way. I am certain I am just hooking it up wrong. I was wondering if anyone could help me with the correct way to hook it up. It has 4 wires ground (green), neutral (white), run coil? (black, 6 ohms), and the start coil? (red, 3 ohms). I think I may have the run and start coils mixed up and I am not entirely sure I hooked the start capacitor up correctly.

    My current set-up:
    Ground-->Ground
    Neutral-->Neutral
    Live-->Run Coil
    Live-->Capacitor-->Start Coil

    Any help would be appreciated.

    If you have both ends of the start winding, just reverse them.
    You have to swap the start winding with respect to the run winding.
    with only three supply conductors, you must have swapped a connection in the motor terminal block?
