Old VF-1. Need to replace spindle

Somebody give me a walk-thru on replacing the spindle cartridge in a Haas. I've replaced the draw-bar a couple times but the bearings and Cat40 taper are GONE in this rig.
    It's an early 90's VF-1 machine with a 7000 rpm spindle.

seen it done many times looks pretty simple.
take the bolts out of the bottom cartridge comes out the bottom
be sure to replace lovejoy bushing also
on a direct drive spindle you have to loosen motor and realign it with the spindle (cheap mill)
not sure about one with a gear box

You will need to tram the spindle in after mounting. Use small brass shims at one or more of the 4 mounting bolts.
