Hello,
Recently purchase a Bridgeport EZ Path CNC lathe, I replaced the CRT monitor with a LCD one, works great except this problem. When I turn the spindle on the LCD monitor goes blank for few seconds, then it comes back.

Any help would be really appreciated.

You are getting some kind of 'brown-out' when the spindle comes on, causing enough dip in the power that the LCD converter (back light) briefly drops out.
Sometimes caused by too small power conductors feeding the mill?

How close is the spindle to the monitor? It could be EMI causing it, though the power fluctuation seems more likely. On my plasma cutter, if the arc doesn't start, there is enough junk in the air that the LCD turns off for about 5 seconds. If I put a sheet of aluminum behind the monitor and ground it, it never happens.
