    Re: Got tired of Vcarving

Try setting them both to 0.0001, in both the <Settings> [Part] and <Settings> [Default]. it's a tenfold difference, and may fix your issue. I started with v24, and it's very capable. You should definitely be able to get good results with that version.

As jrmach said, save your .bbcd file to a .zip file, then attach it to a post. (You have to use the "Go Advanced" editor to do this). That way, we can see exactly what settings you have, and we'll be better able to help.

Well i changed it, reran the toolpaths, then looked at the code. No difference in the vcarve portion of the code. The are differences once i move into the roughing portion but as i said no changes in the vcarve. Rewatched your video to see if i missed a setting but couldnt find something i missed. Know i did not use arcfit, but that does not come into play during the v-carve.

The tolerance setting trot is talking about is the "CAM Tolerance". The tolerance in prefs is CAD. The CAm tolerance in v24 is located in CAm Part-Milling Tools-Current Settings-Machine Parameters. Try .001 there.

    The file will help further.

    And the file please ?

We can go back and forth for quite a while,,but your actual .bbcd file will tell volumes of information to those that are more experience

Well here is the bbcd file. I did not change the tolerance yet as described earlier in the thread. Also added my latest gcode file, just in case.

Well i may have got this figured out. In the UCCNC controller software was a setting for linear error, which i reduced from .03 to .005. I have already started a new run and i can already see the difference.
