    T42 faceplate

I wish to make a face plate for the machining of parts on my big bore Conquest.

The chuck mounting bolts are quantity 12 and apparently PCD 5.25". Anyone know if this is correct?

Does anyone know what the dimensions for the locating cone are? They need to be precise.

    Thanks in advance.

    (Hardinge haven't replied - yet).

It should be in the manual. If not, what is the nose taper (A2-5, A2-6, A2-8)?

Check here: Lathe Spindle Nose Mounting Systems

Thanks Don. I scoured the manual (and again- just) with no joy.

The link further linked me to Lathes which supplied enough dimensional detail to identify the type.

7° 7' 30" must have an interesting origin!
