    8020 t slot question

    Hi
I purchased a no name 80x160mm extrusion, I mounted profile linear rails to it but the extrusion was warped and the linear rails lean into each other slightly, and it locks up and the bearings don't move properly so I am looking at a different extrusion now so I am wondering if the 8020 is better for mounting 25 series hiwin linear rail, I am looking at the 80x160mm or the 3x6in extrusion. Any info and help would be fantastic.
    Thanks
    Chris

In the interests of saving money, and the hassle of completely tearing down your machine, I'd say take a look at whether you can loosen the Hiwin linear rails, drive the axis back and forth to align them, and shim them to get them into the right shape? You may also take a look at your design and see if there's a way to mount a few beefy steel plates to the warped profiles to bring them back into compliance.

As far as 8020 vs a no-namer... the 8020 is going to be far better quality as far as tolerances go.
