    DURA VERTICAL 635 SPINDLE WARM-UP

    HI GUYS
    JUST STARTED RUNNING A DUR VERTICAL 635 WITH A "M730BM" CONTROL AND I WAS WONDERING WHAT KIND OF WARM-UP PROGRAM IS NECCESARY FOR THE SPINDLE OR CAN I JUST TAKE OFF IN THE MORNING AT 10,000 RPM ? ANY HELP PLEASE

    Will you start your sports car, and drive it at full speed with no warm up?? Just think about it.

    I AGREE , I RAN AN OKK WITH 20,000 RPM SPINDLE AND IT WAS ABOUT A30 MIN PROGRAM , I DONT SEE A "WARM-UP" PROGRAM AS SUCH, DO YOU HYAVE ONE OR ANYONE? WOULDNT MORI SEND ONE WITH THE MACHINE?

    There would have been a sample program on a laminated sheet attached to the door during delivery. That being said, the full warm up will only be required if the machine sits for a long period of time. The control knows this and will remind you to perform a warm up. Air/oil mist spindles don't require much in the way of warm up. 5 minutes at 5K RPM is plenty to get any pooled oil out of the spindle, then just go. The spindle should always run at room temp or close to it. It's not like your trying to get oil in an engine thinned out before the autobahn.
